On November 8, Shell Standards officially signed a contract with Qingdao Zhongrui Taifeng New Material Project Phase II.
Shell’s chief technology officer Yuri Sebrigez and Shell’s catalyst business president Andy Goss attended the signing ceremony.
In the second phase of the project, a 10,000-ton-scale catalyst production line will be built to meet the demand for high-performance catalyst products from Chinese and even global oil refineries.
It is expected to be put into operation in 2020.
The project is dedicated to the production of high-performance catalyst products.
After completion, it will help reduce the sulfur content of gasoline or diesel and contribute to China's environmental protection.
Shell Standard is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell Group.
As one of the leading companies in the field of refining catalysts, Shell Standards provides a variety of refining application catalyst products to customers around the world, including refining catalysis, hydrogenation catalysis products, as well as process technology and services.
The cooperation between Shell Standards and Zhongrui Taifeng began in April 2017.
By providing proprietary technology to Zhongrui Taifeng, the corresponding catalyst products were produced in Qingdao, while Shell Standards was responsible for product marketing, sales and technical services.
