Evonik and SI Coatings, a subsidiary of the Huehoco Group in Wuppertal, Germany, have developed a water-based primer based on VESTOSINT® polyamide 12 powder, which can be used for steel pre-processing in the fluidized bed coating process.

The aquatic hazard grade of this primer Si Coatings 100011-00L is WGK1, and its shelf life in a frost-free environment is six months.

Evonik's VESTOSINT® high-performance polyamide 12 powder can be used in the coating of dishwasher baskets, household metal products, automobiles, and medical technology.
