At present, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) has been widely used in the treatment of

Dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the best imaging technique for evaluating response and predicting pathological response after neoadjuvant therapy in breast cancer, with an accuracy rate of approximately 91%

Recently, a study published in the journal European Radiology evaluated the role of DWI in predicting DWI after one cycle of NAC through two-dimensional (2D) ROI-ADC measurements and three-dimensional (WL) whole-lesion (WL) segmentation of ADC histograms.

Between January 2016 and December 2019, 55 female patients were enrolled in this prospective, single-center study

Of the 48 patients, 9 achieved pCR

The results of this study demonstrate that the marked increase of ROI-ADC in breast tumors under DWI can predict the complete pathological and imaging response after one cycle of NAC
