Recently, a study published in the journal European Radiology used MRI radiomics features to analyze mesorectal fat for non-invasive assessment and prediction of clinical prognosis and treatment effect in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer .

This retrospective study included patients who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced rectal cancer between 2009 and 2015 .
