A team of researchers from several countries found that regular drinking of tea or coffee can reduce the risk of brain cancer The researchers report in a new issue of the American Journal of clinical nutrition that they conducted an eight and a half year survey in 10 countries, including France, the Netherlands, Italy and the UK, of more than 410000 adults aged 25 to 70 The study included participants' eating habits, especially whether they often drink tea or coffee During the survey, 343 patients were diagnosed with glioma and 245 with meningioma The former is a kind of tumor disease of central nervous system, which originates from gum cell disease The latter results from the derivative changes of meninges and meningeal space The study found that compared with people who don't drink tea or coffee often, people who drink tea or coffee often have a lower risk of brain cancer, especially glioma Specifically, if you drink more than 100 ml of coffee or tea every day, the risk of glioma will be reduced by 34% This effect is particularly evident in men The researchers also pointed out that although studies have shown that regular drinking of tea or coffee can help prevent brain cancer, there is no clear causal relationship between the two, and more in-depth research is needed to find out the mechanism of these two drinks to help prevent brain cancer.
