According to research published today in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology under the umbrella of Esec, drinking two to three cups of coffee a day can prolong life and reduce the risk of
cardiovascular disease compared to not drinking coffee.
Professor Peter Kistler, of the Baker Institute for Heart and Diabetes in Melbourne, Australia, said: "In this large observational study, grounded, instant and decaffeinated coffee was associated with a considerable reduction in the incidence of cardiovascular disease and death from cardiovascular disease or other causes

The study included 449,563 participants
who did not have arrhythmias or other cardiovascular diseases at baseline.
