The !---- Thyroid Cell Pathology Reporting System (TBSRTC) has been widely used since its introductionin this study, we aim to report on our experience with the use of the reporting system in a large range of Chinese patients in a large family of patients in hospital laboratories accredited by the American College of Pathologists (CAP)we conducted a retrospective analysis of all patients who received preoperative ultrasound-guided thyroid needle puncture (FNA) between January 2011 and August 2016classified the thyroid FNA according to the Bethesda systemfurther analysis of the preoperative Diagnostic Performance of FNA for patients who underwent follow-up surgery in our hospital, based on four different calculation criteriareview all thyroid papilloma cancer specimens with bubble variants to exclude NIFTP (non-immersive fission-like thyroid tumors with nipple-like nuclear characteristics)results, a total of 13,351 thyroid FNA cases were included in the analysisthyroidectomy was performed in 3,594 (28.7%) of the 12,530 patients sampled, with the following rates of malignancy in the cytological categories66.7% dissatisfied, 14.2% benign, 53.5% unclear of meaning, 30.2% of follicle tumors, 82.0% suspicious, 99.1% malignantonly 12 patients(0.36%) of all PTCs were reclassified as NIFTPThe sensitivity of the preoperative FNA beforewas above 95.0%, which was as high as 99.0%specificity varies from 50.3% to 63.9%, depending on which criterion is usedthe positive prediction values of standards 1 and 2 were 95.4%, and the positive prediction shaded values of standards 3 and 4 were 94.2%negative forecasts ranged from 64.5% to 85.8%diagnosis accuracy rate is more than 90.0%, the highest is 94.8%in short, this study is the first to reveal the great efficacy and accuracy of TBSRTC in large Chinese populations
