Transcranial Doppler (ICPtcd) can be used as an alternative noninvasive method to rule out intracranial hypertension (ICP) in the management of patients with acute traumatic brain injury when invasive methods cannot be used

The aim of this study was to determine whether ICPtcd could be considered reliable for the exclusion of intracranial hypertension compared to the reference standard method for invasive ICP monitoring (ICPi).

This is a prospective, international, multicenter, unblinded, diagnostic accuracy study comparing the performance of ICPtcd and ICPi
