Recently,
Ewing Coatings Additives business line used new technology to develop gas-phase silica dispersions for water-based coatings, mainly for high-performance water-based industrial coatings, automotive coatings and wood coatings, especially for applications such as spray construction.
The challenge in today's water-based spray applications is to find a special product that combines the benefits of gas-phase silica (e.g. excellent flow-resistant, chemical and water-resistant) with ease of use and handling and, of course, very high efficiency.
generally speaking, water-based coatings have a much lower viscosity than solvent-based
. Therefore, additional additives are required to achieve efficient anti-sinking of any component of the coating (e.g., pigments) (and anti-flow hanging during construction).
our new (gas-phase silica) dispersion VP Disp. The WF7620 was developed to meet this market demand. With this dispersion, you can skip the bead grinding process and add it to the formula without any additional high shearing equipment. This means that this dispersion can be added to the mixing process to achieve a high fluidization effect. An important feature of this new dispersion is that it helps achieve high film thickness, and this characteristic is particularly important for the solid components of water-based coatings. In addition, the use of this dispersion is very easy. You just stir it with a blender, and you don't even need a disperser to get the job done.
