The incidence of leukemia in children under 14 years of age is 25% and requires long-term care from relatives, especially during hospitalization, causing many physical and psychological problems
    for the child's primary caregiver.

Using a convenient sampling method, 286 nursing staff of patients with acute leukemia hospitalized in Peking Union Medical College Hospital were selected as the research population, and from May 2015 to February 2016, a purposeful sample was selected from the fathers or mothers of 10 children with leukemia who visited the pediatric department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital for interviews
    .

The post-traumatic growth experiences of parents of children with leukemia include life perception (appreciation of life, changing priorities of important things in life, and self-adjustment to reality); Personal empowerment (increased self-reliance and self-fulfillment); Improve interpersonal relationships (increase family harmony, value parent-child relationships, benefit from the professional support of other parents and medical staff, and increase empathy and altruism
    ).

Overall, studies have shown that caregivers of hospitalized patients with acute leukemia have moderate levels of perceived disease benefits, that social support and self-efficacy are positively correlated with perception of disease benefits, and that social support influences disease benefit perception
through the mediating role of self-efficacy.
