On May 15, the first multi-technology open international carbon capture technology test platform in Asia, the first multi-technology open international carbon capture technology test platform built by the Guangdong Institute of China Energy Construction Planning and Design Group, was officially put into use, which will help China's carbon dioxide emissions reduction.
And respond to climate change
.
? This project is also the world's first carbon capture test platform based on ultra-supercritical units of thermal power plants.
It is listed as the world's three largest carbon capture technology test bases alongside the US National Carbon Capture Technology Test Center and the Norwegian Monsta Technology Center
.
? The project relies on the construction of Unit 1 of China Resources Haifeng Power Plant which has been put into operation.
It consists of flue gas pretreatment system, amine absorption and membrane separation carbon capture system, compression purification system and supporting auxiliary systems.
20,000 tons
.
After the carbon dioxide is purified, it can meet the requirements of food processing and industrial utilization
.
? Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) is considered a viable method for large-scale reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and global warming in the future
.
The Guangdong Institute has been committed to promoting the development of CCUS technology and established the Sino-British (Guangdong) CCUS Center together with relevant British research institutions
