Cold chain logistics is expected to end "small and scattered"

In order to strengthen the construction of the modern circulation system of agricultural products, improve the circulation efficiency of agricultural products, and better ensure the market supply, recently, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce jointly issued the urgent document "Notice on Further Promoting the Development of Cold Chain Logistics".

Since 2022, support policies in the field of cold chain logistics have continued to be implemented

It is reported that this policy is the first document issued by the Ministry of Finance in the field of cold chain logistics.

Industry insiders said that at present, there is no agricultural product cold chain storage enterprise in China that can face the world or even the whole country.

The domestic cold chain logistics of agricultural products presents a small and scattered market situation, which is distributed in various industrial chain links, and enterprises fight against each other.

According to the data of the China Federation of Things Cold Chain Committee, the current refrigerated transportation rates of fruits and vegetables, meat, and aquatic products in China are 35%, 57%, and 69%, respectively, while the average refrigerated transportation rate in developed countries is as high as 90%

At present, most of the domestic fresh agricultural products are not properly insulated, moisturizing or refrigerated during transportation, and the cold chain logistics market of agricultural products still has a lot of room for growth

According to industry insiders, there are currently four major problems in my country's cold chain logistics:

First, the scale and marketization of agricultural cold chain logistics enterprises is low

Cold chain logistics has problems such as large capital investment in the early stage, long capital return period and low return rate, which lead to the low marketization, scale and proportion of China's agricultural cold chain logistics, which seriously affects the development of China's agricultural cold chain logistics enterprises

Second, the refrigeration technology required for the cold chain logistics of agricultural products is backward and the infrastructure is in short supply

The transportation and storage equipment required for the cold chain logistics of agricultural products is outdated and backward, the number of refrigerated trucks is insufficient, and the modern cold storage capacity is insufficient, which directly affects the service level and operational efficiency of logistics enterprises

　　Third, the degree of informatization is low, and there is a lack of integrated transportation planning between upstream and downstream

　　Lack of integrated planning and arrangement of intermodal transportation, lack of overall planning and arrangement of each link, lack of accurate information, and it is difficult to find out which link is at fault when a problem occurs, resulting in a situation that should be win-win cooperation, mutual benefit and mutual benefit.

　　Fourth, the operating efficiency and efficiency of enterprises are low

　　Due to the lack of an overall planning and coordination mechanism for each link, the loading rate and transportation rate of cold chain vehicles are not high, and the agricultural products are seriously wasted, the loss rate is high, and the effective supply is insufficient
