An accurate and timely diagnosis of psychotic non-seizures (PNES), a type of transgenic disease, is challenging because its clinical manifestations are manifestations
of epilepsy and related medical and psychiatric comorbidities.
Research Objectives:
The objective of this study was to analyze the clinical manifestations
of PNES in children.
Research Methods:
This retrospective case series includes patients diagnosed with
PNES at Taipei Veterans General Hospital between December 2003 and February 2019.
Results of the study:
26 patients (mean age 13 years and 8 months) were evaluated, including 9 males and 17 females
.
Conclusion of the study:
A detailed evaluation of the clinical manifestations and history is important
for the accurate diagnosis of PNES.
