What is water-based industrial paint
Definition of water-based industrial paint
Water-based industrial paint is mainly used as a thinner with water, and does not require curing agents, thinners and solvents.
Characteristics of water-based industrial paint
The application range of water-based industrial paint is extremely wide, and it can be seen everywhere in bridges, steel structures, ships, electromechanical and steel materials
Uses of water-based industrial paints.
The difference between water-based industrial paint and ordinary water-based paint
1.
The difference between water-based industrial paint and oil-based industrial paint 1.
The difference between water-based industrial paint and anti-rust paint
Industrial anti-corrosion paint industry and performance requirements, different varieties have many requirements, generally much higher than ordinary anti-corrosion paint
The difference between water-based industrial paint and powder coating
1.
Compared with water-based coatings, powder coatings are VOC-free, theoretically 99% utilization, and more environmentally friendly; 2.
The thickness of powder coatings for one-time coating is generally 60-80u, which is difficult to achieve with liquids; 3.
Powder coatings At present, it is mainly painted by charging method, so it is difficult to apply to all substrates.
At present, metal substrates are mainly used; liquids do not have this restriction
.
Classification of water-based industrial paints
1.
Acrylic water-based anti-rust paint Acrylic water-based anti-rust paint is the most common water-based iron red acrylic anti-rust paint.
Water-based iron red acrylic anti-rust paint is a self-drying paint with excellent adhesion, heat resistance and weather resistance.
It can be used in combination with alkyd, amino, nitro and other topcoats.
It is better than red lead phenolic anti-rust paint and red lead alkyd anti-corrosion paint in some aspects.
Rust paint
.
2.
Alkyd anti-rust paint The paint is made of water-based alkyd resin, pigments, fillers, various additives, and deionized water
.
Use water as the dispersion medium, non-combustible, non-polluting; no toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene and other benzene series, low VOC, formaldehyde, heavy metal content is lower than national standards, no irritating odor, non-toxic to human body
.
3.
Epoxy water-based anti-corrosion paint can be used as a high-performance water-based anti-corrosion intermediate paint matching with zinc-rich primer, or as a primer matching water-based paint alone, and also suitable for use as a metal spraying layer or galvanized layer surface Sealing coating, used for steel structure surface in mild to severely corrosive environment, such as ships, containers, offshore platforms, docks and other marine facilities, petrochemical pipelines and storage tanks, metallurgy, power and other industries in the rust prevention of steel structures And anti-corrosion
.
How to use water-based industrial paint
Water-based industrial paint construction process board shot blasting pretreatment→surface cleaning→precoating primer→drying→surface treatment→recoating primer→coating transition primer→drying→coating water-based topcoat→drying→painting marking→delivery for inspection
.
Acceptance method of water-based industrial paint 1.
Thorough rust removal without filling or spraying
.
2.
The thickness of the greasy layer is not more than 3mm (referring to the area greater than 0.
01 square meters)
.
3.
The greasy layer has no cracking, blistering or shedding
.
4.
The corners are flat, smooth, and the transition is smooth
.
5.
The paint layer has the same thickness without delamination and cracking
.
6.
Rubber parts, electrical circuits, decorative parts, glass and other non-painted parts are free from oil or oil mist
.
7.
No error spraying variegated colors
.
8.
Before spraying primer, clean the chassis
.
9.
The gloss and texture of the same batch of products are consistent, and the color is consistent with the requirements of the drawing and the color plate confirmed by the company
.
Common problems of water-based industrial paint
Cause 1: The bottom layer is not thoroughly cleaned.
For example, the grease or wax on the surface of the bottom layer is not completely removed.
Due to the interlayer effect, the re-sprayed paint cannot be attached
.
Reason two: The interval of the second spraying is too short to give the primer paint sufficient drying time, which causes the water in the wet paint surface to erode the primer or top paint of the middle paint to make it soft
.
Correction method: polish the defective area until it is smooth but cannot be worn through, and then paint again
.
Cause one of the sagging: improper use of the spray gun
.
For example, the compressed air pressure is too low, or the spray gun is too close to the spraying surface, or the spray gun moves too slowly, which will increase the possibility of sagging.
The spray pattern and spray air pressure should be adjusted appropriately to keep the spray distance at 20-25cm, and the moving speed of the spray gun should be uniform
.
Grasp the maximum amount of spray that will cause sagging, and concentrate on spraying while observing the formation of the paint film
.
Reason 2: The temperature in the spraying workshop is too low, the sprayed paint layer is not easy to dry or the one-time sprayed paint layer is too thick, which causes the drying speed of the paint layer to decrease
.
Correction method: when the sagging phenomenon is slight, wet sand the defective area with fine sandpaper after the paint film surface is dry; when the sagging phenomenon is serious, polish the defective area and paint again
.
The first reason for the yellow rust: the surface of the coated metal has been severely corroded and the surface is wet
.
Reason two: rust spots will appear if the paint surface is too long to dry
.
Reason three: If the one-time construction coating is too thick, the surface will dry slowly and rust spots will appear
.
If the paint is diluted with water too much, rust spots will appear too slowly .
Correction method: construction environment temperature is too low or rainy and high humidity will cause slow drying and also cause flash rust; during construction under various conditions, try not to dilute the paint, and strengthen ventilation to maintain air flow to increase the drying speed as much as possible; do not apply in rainy days
.
