Clariant recently announced that it has won the 2019 Supplier Risk Management Global Procurement Award. In March, Clariant won the EcoVadis Award for Sustainable Purchasing Leadership for its "Best Intra-Company Collaboration" practice.Hans Bohnen,
Clariant's executive committee member, said: "It is critical that Clariant further integrates the procurement process into multiple departments to engage in the selection and management of suppliers that meet Clariant's expectations in terms of sustainability and overall risk management I am pleased that these efforts have been externally recognized.
Clariant's awards attest to the fact that the award bodies fully recognize Clariant's efforts outside the professional procurement team to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders to provide a more integrated supply chain process.
Global Purchasing Award jury consists of 25 judges from all over the world. Clariant's overall procurement risk management process provides real-time information for supply chain assessments and is highly rated by the jury. The independent jury at the EcoVadis Sustainability Sourcing Leadership Award also praised Clariant's excellent organizational structure and its work in integrating sustainable procurement with sustainability at the Group level.
