Clariant introduces a variety of coating additives

Recently, Clariant introduced a number of coating ingredients at the 2019 European Coatings Show.
Clariant's new additive, Dispersogen® SP Plus, has taken the innovation of sterilizer-free coatings to the next level and is now as easy to use as dispersed coatings. At the same time, this hazard-free label-free, non-volatile organic compound (VOC)/semi-volatile organic compound (SVOC)1's 2-in-1 additive benefits formulaters, which means that the formulation requires fewer ingredients and less complexity . In addition, the German Blue Angel environmental certification has clearly stipulated that indoor wall coatings must not contain fungicides. Clariant's products help customers create products that are easy to apply and meet this strict eco-label, which is also an important factor in purchasing decisions.
Clariant showcases new solutions to the paint and coatings industry through virtual reality environments
in the interior, wood is the material of choice for home improvement, and Clariant specializes in introducing an ideal additive for paint manufacturers to enhance and protect the natural texture of wood. The new Cerridust ® 1060 TP is an innovative 100% renewable natural wax additive for indoor wood coatings such as furniture, flooring, window frames and beams. This 100% renewable additive provides the coating with the right smoothness, non-slipness, soft touch and high scratch resistance. Importantly, this additive does not come from food resources. Formulaters will also benefit from its dispersion.
Cerridust 1060 TP provides good performance for powder coatings, such as colored metal furniture or work benches. This additive can be used in low-temperature cured powder coatings, enabling this production process to achieve good surface results while saving energy. Its renewable ingredients give the material a refined texture and help manufacturers produce heavily colored coatings that are in line with current interior design trends.
In addition, Clariant's innovative Teflon-free (PTFE)-free wax powder Licocene® PE MA 4351 for textured powder coatings helps paint manufacturers produce texture protection coatings similar to traditional PTFE, and even creates new surface structures with greater freedom to create a "warm" environment.
