The Sichuan Provincial Administration for Market Supervision organized food safety supervision and random inspection, and sampled 880 batches of samples of 22 major categories of food, such as vegetable products, dairy products, edible agricultural products, catering foods, beverages, meat products, pastries, bee products, condiments, soy products, edible oils, fats and their products, infant formula foods, formula foods for special medical purposes, biscuits, fried foods and nut products, quick-frozen foods, starch and starch products, food additives, canned food, aquatic products, convenience foods, health foods, etc.
31 batches of samples were detected as unqualified, and the main problems found were microbial contamination, excessive residues of agricultural and veterinary drugs, illegal use of food additives, non-compliance with quality indicators, heavy metal pollution, and non-edible substances
.

For the unqualified food found in the sampling inspection, the Provincial Administration for Market Regulation has instructed Chengdu, Zigong City, Panzhihua City, Luzhou City, Deyang City, Mianyang City, Leshan City, Yibin City, Guang'an City, Ziyang City, Ya'an City, Meishan City and Liangshan Prefecture Market Supervision Administration to immediately organize verification and disposal, urge food production enterprises to find out the flow of products, and take measures such as removing and recalling unqualified products to control risks; Violations of laws and regulations shall be dealt with strictly in accordance with law; Promptly disclose the risk prevention and control measures and verification and disposal measures adopted by enterprises to the public
.
