    Two-dimensional layered materials represented by graphene exhibit remarkable electron delocalization behavior due to their unique intra-layer atomic connection, resulting in outstanding physical and chemical properties


    Based on this, Professor Wang Xun's team reported a new class of graphene-like materials based on polymetallic oxygen clusters (POMs) - "cluster alkenes" (Figure 1)

    In the cluster alkene-like layer, the clusters are directly bonded and have the same chemical environment, thus exhibiting a significant intralayer electron delocalization effect
