    With funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (approval numbers: 21634003, 2185044, 22075050), the team of Professor Huisheng Peng of Fudan University has made new progress in the field of polymer fiber devices.


    As the "heart" of modern electronic equipment, energy storage devices represented by lithium-ion batteries are an indispensable part of the modern electronic industry and people's lives


    The research team found that the internal resistance of the fiber lithium ion battery has a hyperbolic cotangent function relationship with the length, that is, the internal resistance first decreases and then stabilizes as the length increases, providing theoretical support for the continuous construction of fiber lithium ion batteries


    The comprehensive electrochemical performance test of the fiber lithium ion battery shows that the fiber lithium ion battery with a length of 1 meter has an energy density of more than 85 Wh/kg based on the overall mass, which can provide a long time for commercial wearable devices such as heart rate monitors and blood oximeters.


    The above theoretical and methodological research results are expected to promote the development of a new generation of flexible electronics such as smart fabrics in the future
