Learned from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine that the Technical Committee on Traditional Chinese Medicine (ISO/TC249), established by china to promote the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), has issued 45 international standards for Chinese medicine, and that Chinese medicine is rapidly integrating into the international pharmaceutical system and making a growing contribution to human health and well-being.In order to better serve the health of all peoples, China has continuously summarized and contributed to the practical experience of developing Chinese medicine, and has made unremitting efforts to promote traditional medicine, represented by Chinese medicine, to the world. At the initiative of the Chinese Government, the 62nd and 67th World Health Assembly twice adopted the Resolution on Traditional Medicine and urged Member States to implement the WHO Strategy for Traditional Medicine (2014-2023), which is now used in 88 per cent of WHO Member States. This year, the 72nd World Health Assembly considered the adoption of the 11th Revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11), which for the first time incorporated the traditional medicine chapter originating in Chinese medicine."Chinese medicine, the treasure of ancient Chinese science, is playing an important role in promoting the mutual learning of civilization and safeguarding human health." The relevant person in charge of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine said that Chinese medicine has become an important carrier for building a community of human destiny.It is understood that Chinese medicine has spread to 183 countries and regions, the Chinese government has signed a special cooperation agreement with more than 40 foreign governments, international organizations, regional authorities. Chinese medicine has been registered as a drug in Russia, Cuba, Vietnam, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. More than 30 countries and regions have opened hundreds of Chinese medicine colleges and schools to train local Chinese medicine talents.In foreign aid medicine, Chinese medicine plays an irreplaceable role. China has sent medical teams to 69 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and basically every medical team has Chinese medicine personnel. In recent years, China has stepped up efforts to combat AIDS, malaria and other diseases in developing countries, especially in Africa, and has sent more than 400 Chinese medicine technicians to more than 40 countries, including Tanzania, Comoros and Indonesia. The foreign aid medical team has treated many difficult and serious diseases by using the combination of Traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, push-and-take and Chinese-Western medicine, which has saved the lives of many dying patients and has been fully affirmed by the Government and people of the recipient countries.
