    Recently, "Beverage Plant Research" published a research paper online by the team of Academician Chen Zongmao from the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences

    Anthraquinones have been detected in tea from major tea-producing countries in the world, and anthraquinone pollution in tea has become a major problem in international tea trade


    In the green tea processing with coal as the heat source, the content of anthraquinone in tea increased by 4.


    Therefore, it is inferred that the steps that tea leaves may contact with the smoke and dust produced by coal combustion, such as greening and drying steps, are the main steps of anthraquinone production in tea processing.
