It is understood that China Hongqiao Group, Singapore Winning International Group, and Indonesia Halida Group signed a joint venture agreement in 2012 to establish Indonesia Hongfa Winning Alumina Co.

The project is located in Kedapang County, West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia.
The three parties have also determined to jointly fund the construction of an alumina smelter with an annual output of 2 million tons, as well as supporting power plants and terminals

The project completed and put into production this time is a production line with an annual output of 1 million tons of alumina in the first phase of the project, and a subsequent production line with an annual output of 1 million tons is under construction
.
The total investment for the first phase of the project is estimated to be between US$1 billion and US$1.
