News: Hua zhong university of science and technology fuel cell research center independently developed 5KW solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) independent power generation system, and achieved 4.82KW power output, the Ministry of Science and Technology organized on-site technical acceptance group experts believe that this marks China's SOFC system independent power generation technology has made a new breakthrough, basically equipped to enter the engineering and productization stage conditions.
reporters learned that, under the support of the national "863 Plan", Hua zhong university of science and technology fuel cell research center Professor Li Arrow team independently developed a successful 5KW-class SOFC independent power generation system, using dual reactor modules and thermal-electric co-control technology, power generation efficiency of 46.5%, co-supply energy utilization rate of up to 79.7%; Among them, the use of large areas of single battery power density of up to 1.2W per square centimeter, decay rate of only 0.41% per thousand hours, reached the international advanced level.
the acceptance group believes that the successful development of this system shows that China's SOFC technology basically has the conditions to enter the engineering and productization stage. In the future, the Fuel Cell Research Center will aim to improve the reliability and stability of SOFC system and realize the localization of key components, laying the foundation for the industrialization and large-scale application of SOFC technology in China.
SOFC is a biochemical power generation technology that converts biomass fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas, biogas and other hydrocarbons directly into electricity, and has the advantages of high efficiency, low emissions and no noise.
