China's grain imports surged in November, corn surged 1142.2%

China's corn imports in November 2020 were 1.23 million tons, up 1142.2% year-on-year, according to statistics released by the General Administration of Customs on December 23. Imports from January to November were 9.04 million tonnes, up 122.7 per cent year-on-year.
wheat imports in November were 800,000 tonnes, up 77.8 per cent year-on-year; Imports from January to November were 7.49 million tonnes, up 150.5 per cent year-on-year.
imports of sorghum in November were 240,000 tons, an increase of 300% yoY; Imports from January to November were 4.27 million tonnes, up 440.5 per cent year-on-year.
imports of barley in November were 1.11 million tons, up 170.7% year-on-year; Imports from January to November were 7.1m tonnes, up 24.8 per cent year-on-year.
imports of pork in November were 330,000 tons, up 43.7% year-on-year; Imports from January to November were 3.95 million tonnes, up 128 per cent year-on-year.
imports of sugar in November were 710,000 tonnes, up 115.2 per cent year-on-year.
imports from January to November were 4.36 million tonnes, up 37.1 per cent year-on-year.
