As a daily necessities of the human body, water is closely related to people's daily life

In April this year, the Chinese Nutrition Society released a new version of the "Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2022)".

When the importance of scientific drinking water is so important, on June 25th, the water science forum of "Water Health for Life" organized by China Good Nutrition was held in Beijing.

Long-term drinking of purified water is not recommended

There are many scenes of our daily drinking water, so the types of drinking water involved are also varied.

In response to this confusion, at the forum, Zhang Na, an associate researcher at the School of Public Health of Peking University, said that in the classification of China's "General Principles of Beverages", it can be roughly divided into two categories, the first category is packaged drinking water, packaged drinking water Water includes drinking natural mineral water and drinking purified water, but they have certain differences

"Most of the mineral elements contained in pure drinking water have been purified and removed, and mineral water contains a certain amount of mineral elements

Drinking water for calcium is meaningful

It is worth noting that the theory of "water is a nutrient" has also been re-mentioned in this forum

Ma Guansheng, a professor at the School of Public Health of Peking University, said that in the previous textbooks, the name of water has not been clarified until the second edition of the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Nutrition Science" reached a consensus that water is a nutrient, and it is the one we need the most.

At the same time, Professor Ma Aiguo, the executive vice chairman of the Chinese Nutrition Society and the Institute of Nutrition and Health of Qingdao University, believes that several minerals in the water are beneficial

Current scientific research shows that, based on data from other countries, the amount of calcium supplemented by hard water is about 175-180 mg per day, which can account for about 20% of people's daily intake

In addition, in Ma Guansheng's view, if the calcium content in the water is relatively high, around 100-200 mg, then the calcium in the water can be used as a very important source in this case

Zhang Na believes that diet is a very important way to supplement some elements, but under the premise that the intake of calcium elements in Chinese residents is already deficient, it is also beneficial to appropriately supplement some mineral elements from drinking water.

    Mineral supplementation is essential

After the interpretation of authoritative experts, we learned that calcium supplementation is a health topic that must be taken seriously

Among the recommended amounts in the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2022), adults with low physical activity levels should drink 1500-1700 ml of water per day

"For people who have been drinking pure water, they should pay attention to the supplementation of minerals in their food

Finally, Ma Aiguo said that scientific drinking water is related to the health of each of us, and a correct understanding of water health is the nutritional knowledge that each of us needs to master
