Children who eat fish at least once a week not only sleep better, but also have higher IQs, a new US study shows
Previous studies have shown that fish rich in OMEGA-3 fatty acids can improve cognition, and OMEGA-3 fatty acids can also improve sleep, but what is the relationship between fish intake, cognitive improvement and sleep improvement? To this end, researchers at the University of Pennsylvania selected 541 children aged 9 to 11 for the study, of which 54% were boys and 46% were girls
The researchers used questionnaires to find out how often the above-mentioned children ate fish in the past month, and also used the Wechsler Children's Intelligence Scale to test their verbal and non-verbal skills
After analysis, the researchers found that children who ate fish every week were 4.
The researchers believe that this study further shows that eating fish does indeed bring positive health benefits, so publicity and promotion should be strengthened
The study was recently published in the British journal Scientific Reports
