The interaction between aboveground and underground organisms is a hot topic in contemporary ecological research, and the increase of CO2 concentration in the atmosphere is an inevitable trend in the future Because jasmonate mediated systemic defense can penetrate the aboveground and underground parts of plants, the study of jasmonate induced resistance of plants can organically link the increase of atmospheric CO2 concentration with the harm of underground nematodes, and explore how the increase of atmospheric CO2 concentration affects underground organisms through cascading effect of plants The population ecology research group of Institute of zoology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, in the CO2 artificial climate box, studied the resistance changes of three genotypes of tomato to Meloidogyne incognita under the environment of double atmospheric CO2 concentration (750ppm) by using three experimental materials: 35S, Spr2 and wt It was found that the increase of atmospheric CO2 concentration reduced the level of jasmonate induced defense represented by protease inhibitor (PI) in wild type and 35S tomato, and increased the level of salicylic acid induced defense represented by course related protein (PR) in wild type and Spr2 tomato The increase of CO2 concentration changed the expression of genes downstream of the defense pathway induced by jasmonate and salicylic acid, and the content of secondary biomass such as total phenol, flavone and tannin in different tomato genotypes, thus reducing the resistance of tomato 35S enhanced by jasmonate defense pathway to nematode The results showed that although the increase of CO2 concentration increased the C / N ratio of three genotypes and accelerated the growth and development of plants, it changed the interaction of endogenous defense pathways of different genotypes, which led to the change of resistance of different genotypes to nematodes in the future The above research is published in PLoS One The research work was supported by the national major basic research plan (973), the important direction project of knowledge innovation project of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the innovation research group project of NSFC.
