A few days ago, Canadian authorities said they would revise the relevant parts of the food and drug regulations related to breast milk fortifiers
The main revisions are: the definition of expiry date will be expanded to apply to breast milk fortifiers; the definition of "nutritional supplements" will be revised to refer to foods sold or represented that may be deficient in energy and essential nutrients, excluding breast milk fortifiers; The current definition of "food" was revised to make the meaning of the word "representative" clearer by replacing "representative for consumption by infants" with "advertising marked or intended for consumption by infants"
