Food Partners Network News On April 21, 2020, Health Canada announced that it is seeking advice on the use of food additives in food condiments.
Canada intends to revise the list to specify which colorants, preservatives and emulsions are permitted in these flavoring preparations and their maximum use.
Request for comments is as follows: 1. List of colorants, preservatives and emulsifications currently used in flavoring preparations that meet the criteria for extracts and flavorings or flavoring ingredients; Simply mention the functional category of additives); 3. The type and maximum level of use of food additives used in flavoring preparations, expressed as a percentage of weight if the level of use is 1% or more), or as a percentage of weight if the level of use is less than 1%, as a percentage of p.p.m.).
