On January 21, 2020, Health Canada released NOM/ADM-0142, which proposes to revise the list of permitted food enzymes and approve glucose oxidase (Glucose Oxidase) bread, flour, whole wheat flour, pasta, unsoilized baked goods, and some pre-packaging cheese from the aspergillus niger strain J39.
it is understood that glucose oxidase from other strains of meth has been allowed as a food enzyme in Canada for the above-mentioned food categories other than cheese, and this revision will take effect on 21 January 2020.
