From SeafoodMedia on December 19, according to the consolidated financial statements for the third quarter of 2022, the net income of Camimex Group in Vietnam was VND 823 billion, an increase of 56%
over the same period in 2021.

In the first 9 months of 2022, Camimex Group achieved a total revenue of VND 2,200 billion, a year-on-year increase of 53%, and an after-tax profit of nearly VND 87 billion, but as a result, Camimex Group only achieved 56% of its revenue plan and 29% of its full-year profit target
    .

At a recent seminar on "Fisheries 2023: Identifying Challenges and Addressing Declining Orders and Rising Profits", Truong Dinh Hoe, Secretary-General of the Association of Vietnamese Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), said Vietnam's seafood exports will reach about US$11 billion in 2022, including US$4.
    3 billion in shrimp, US$2.
5 billion in pangasius and US$1 billion in tuna
    .

At present, Vietnam's seafood exports rank third in the world, after China (US$18 billion in exports) and Norway (US$11 billion in exports), accounting for 7%
    of the global market share.

Along with Ecuador, India and Indonesia, Vietnam is the world's fourth largest supplier of shrimp
    .
In 2022, the market share of Vietnamese shrimp in the United States and China was close to 8%, and its market share in the European Union is also increasing
    .

Truong Dinh Hoe said that Vietnam's seafood industry faces internal challenges such as: farming infrastructure issues, seedling quality, parent species, input costs, fisheries management required by IUU regulations, and fuel costs for fisheries and resources, external challenges such as inflation, slowing growth in major markets, and competition
    for services.

Camimex Group pays special attention to investing in the development of organic shrimp farming technologies, seeking international certification of clean, safe and quality products for owners of shrimp and mangroves, which will help the Group products to easily enter the market, reduce competitive pressures and add value
    .
Camimex Group expects to increase sales to an average of $250 million
annually over the next five years.
