British media: Egypt scraps contract to buy 240,000 tons of wheat from Ukraine

MOSCOW, July 28 (Reuters) - Egypt has scrapped a contract to buy 240,000 tons of wheat from Ukraine, which will be purchased in December 2021, Reuters reported, citing sourc.

According to the agency, Egypt’s General Administration of Commodities Supply (GASC) “abolished” the contractual obligations of supplier companies Nibulon and Iner.

The agency reported that the Egyptian government bought wheat at a price of $346 to $360 a ton in December last ye.
The ordered goods have not been delivered due to the situation in Ukrai.

Earlier in the framework of the trip to Africa, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a news conference in the Egyptian capital that Russian grain exporters reiterated their compliance with the agreement to supply Cai.
