July 31, the China Nutrition Society hosted the "Breastfeeding plus Light of Life" - Breastfeeding Research Conference and Breastfeeding Advocacy Forum held in Beijing. The leaders of the Chinese Nutrition Society, experts from the Women's and Children's Nutrition Branch, the directors of the provincial nutrition societies and representatives of authoritative media attended the meeting, which jointly responded to the theme of this year's World Breastfeeding Week "Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life" (Breastfeeding: Roots of Life) and called on the public to give more understanding and care about breastfeeding in order to improve the status quo of breastfeeding in China.

Chairman Yang Yuxin stressed that promoting the improvement of exclusive breastfeeding rate has become an important development goal of the society at the moment.
