24, 2019, the inaugurated conference of the Oncology Nutrition Management Branch of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition and the first Symposium on Oncology Nutrition Management were held in Beijing. Professor Yang Yuanxin, President of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition, Professor Chang Cuiqing of Peking University Third Hospital, Professor Yu Kang of the Clinical Nutrition Department of the Beijing Concord Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Cong Minghua of the General Department of the Oncology Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences of the National Cancer Center, Professor Fang Yu of the Department of Nutrition of Beijing Cancer Hospital, Professor Li Suyi of Anhui Cancer Hospital, and more than 150 representatives from all over the country attended the meeting.
Symposium on Oncology Nutrition Management was chaired by Professor Chang Cuiqing, Vice President of the Chinese Nutrition Society. Professor Yu Kang, Professor Cong Minghua and Professor Liu Yinghua in turn shared the wonderful academic progress of oncology nutrition, such as the interpretation of the Expert Consensus on Nutrition Management in the Rehabilitation period of Malignant Tumor Patients, the Exploration and Practice of Oncology Nutrition, and the Clinical Application of ONS in Tumor Patients. The number of patients in the period of nutritional rehabilitation of tumors is large, and the proportion of nutritional risk is high. Nutritional screening, nutritional assessment, nutritional intervention and efficacy monitoring of cancer patients through professionally trained dietitians or health care providers can improve clinical outcomes, improve quality of life, and reduce treatment costs.
