External Trigeminal Nerve Stimulation (ETNS) is an emergency, non-invasive neurostimulation therapy.

The study included 40 patients with frontal or temporal lobe DRE who were not suitable for surgery and were randomly assigned to ETNS or conventional medical treatment.

The results showed that the subjects had a median of 15 seizures per month and had used 12.

In summary, the results of this study indicate that ETNS is an effective and well-tolerated treatment for focal DRE.
