The relationship between !---- breast cancer (BC) and thyroid disease (TD) remains controversialstudy to explore the possible coexistence of TD in newly diagnosed BC patients and their correlation with the menopausal state and disease stage seconditiony of B.Cclinical manifestationsthis retrospective cohort study of all patients who received primary BC treatment in the breast department of Trieste University Hospital between 2014 and 2016reviewed the patient's clinical medical records and reports to understand the simultaneous thyroid disorders (i.ehyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, benign TD, thyroid cancer, thyroid autoimmune) and menopausal conditions that occurred at the time of BC diagnosisalso evaluate bc's biomolecular spectrum, stage, and gradingresults, the study included 786 women and 7 menfound 161 cases (20.3%) of tD at the same time: 151 (19.4%) of patients showed benign TD, and 10 (1.3%) showed thyroid cancer51 cases (32%) of patients found thyroid autoimmunethyroid function, 88 (55%) patients have hypothyroidism, 19 (12%) have hyperthyroidism, and 54 (33%) have normal thyroid functionTD was more common in women aged 60 years, there was no statistical correlation between age and TD (P.16)Women whodiagnosed with BC at premenopausal age are more likely to have thyroid autoimmune disease (45% vs29%, p - 0.05)no association with thyroid autoimmune (p - 0.26) or changes in thyroid function (p s 0.63) was found in the BC molecular mapwomen with hyperthyroidism were more likely to have higher-grade BC (52.9%, p -0.04), but the grade was not related to the presence of thyroid autoimmune diseases (p s 0.87) BC was associated with thyroid autoimmune (p s 0.04) and thyroid function (p.lt;0.001), and 55.2% of women affected by benign TD developed stage I BC, with more invasive BC found in patients with hypothyroidism , the results show that patients with primary BC show a greater incidence of autoimmune diseases, especially in premenopausal diagnosis However, further prospective studies are needed to clearly demonstrate causation
