Best Agrolife Limited (BAL), a leading player in the agrochemical industry in India, was recently granted a local production registration license for oxalate u/s 9(3) at the 443rd meeting of the Central Pesticide Management and Registration
    Board.
Chinese BAL will thus become the first Indian agrochemical company
to produce oxalic acid ingredients in India.

Oxalic acid is an herbicide used for post-bud control of a wide range of annual and perennial grasses in a variety of broadleaf crops, such as soybeans, cotton, legumes, sunflowers, other field crops, vegetables, fruit trees, vineyards, sugar beets, canola, and forestry
    .
The oxalic acid manufacturer is ADAMA in India in the form of TC (483), which acts as a selective and systemic herbicide that controls all stages
    of weed growth.
The herbicide is environmentally friendly and harmless to beneficial insects and mammals, and is quickly absorbed by the leaves and transferred to the growth points
of the leaves and roots where the weeds are sprayed.

"BAL has continued to innovate and evolve this year because of our unwavering focus on research and development
    .
In addition to launching five new products, namely Axeman, Ronfen (ternary pesticide patent), Reveal, Tombo and Warden, it has also become the first agrochemical company
in India to independently produce chlorantranilamide (market size of more than 280 billion rupees, about 23 billion yuan) original drug through the launch of Citigen and Vistara 。 We have also obtained patents for the first-in-class bactericidal composition of cyanoconazole, enomorpholine and difenoconazole (market size Rs.
    35 billion, approximately RMB2.
88 billion) and the registration of local manufacture of sulfonepyrazole original drug (market size Rs.
    45 billion)," said
Vimal Alawadhi, Managing Director of BAL.

"Oxalic acid herbicides are critical to Indian farming communities because they are effective in controlling weeds
    in many broadleaf crops.
With a market size of Rs 3,500 crore in India, Oxalic Acid is an important addition to BAL's registration list with a huge market size this year and we will be making the most of this opportunity
    .
In addition to eliminating the import dependence on oxalic acid raw materials, it will also focus on the development of new oxalic acid combination products
through research and development and patent application.
As oxalic acid is also popular in the global herbicide market, we look forward to its export in the future," Vival further added
    .

BAL is a research-based organization that brings world-class, cost-effective farm solutions in the form of novel agrochemicals to serve
    farming communities.
    BAL currently has manufacturing capacity
of 7,000 MTPA (metric tons per annum) and 30,000 MTPA ingredients and formulations, respectively, through three manufacturing facilities in Gajraula, Greater Noida and Jammu & Kashmir.
It has more than 5,200 distributors in India and has a portfolio of more than 360 highly competitive formulations, as well as more than 80 original drug manufacturing licenses
