    Belarus implements sugar export licensing system

    Belarus News Agency, Minsk, February 17th, Belarus national legal portal released news on the same day that according to the resolution of the Council of Ministers No.
    82 on February 15, 2022, Belarus began to implement the white sugar export license system
    .
     
    The document stipulates that regardless of the country of origin of white sugar, a one-time license issued by the Ministry of Anti-Monopoly Supervision and Trade and the national food industry Kang Zhan of Belarus is required when exporting outside of Belarus
    .
    The issuance method of the license refers to the rules for issuing authorizations and licenses for the export and/or import of goods stipulated in the annex to the Protocol on Non-tariff Control Measures for Third Countries (see Annex 7 of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014).

    This resolution does not apply to goods used for international humanitarian assistance and reserves based on the decision of the Belarusian government, nor to the start and end of international transit shipments outside the customs of the Eurasian Economic Union and the transit of Belarus in accordance with customs procedures within the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union commodities in circulation

    The main terms of the resolution will come into effect from the date of official publication and will be valid for 6 months
