[China Epoxy Network (China Epoxy Industry Online)July 9, 2012 News: The old water pipes were completely refurbished before the 1980s, and the total project was 1,800 kilometers.
No excavation was used to prevent water from entering the field.
Yellow water produced in Beijing-Beijing Water Supply Group said that the government and enterprises will jointly invest about 300 million yuan to refurbish 1,800 kilometers of old water pipes.
After completion, all the old water pipes in the city before the 1980s will be renewed.
This is the largest-scale renovation of old pipelines in the city's history.
After the renovation, hundreds of thousands of residents in this city will bid farewell to the yellowish tap water caused by water from outside the city.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Water Supply Group, before the 1980s, due to the limitations of economic development and technical level, the inner walls of the built water pipelines were prone to rust and scale after a long period of time.
At present, there are about 8,800 kilometers of tap water pipelines in the city, and there are 1,400 kilometers of rust-prone pipelines (400 kilometers have been updated recently, including some of the water pipes in the 1990s).
According to reports, some of the water pipes in the 1980s will be completely renewed.
The person in charge said that even though the inner wall of the water supply pipeline is rusty, the water quality of the city's water source was single before that, so there will be no rust peeling off and affecting the quality of tap water.
However, since October 2008, Beijing's water resources have become increasingly scarce, and Beijing has begun to introduce water from Hebei reservoirs.
Although the tap water from the factory meets the national drinking water sanitation standards, the content of soluble inorganic salts in "guest water" and local water is different.
The relevant person in charge of the Water Supply Group explained that this sulfate component is corrosive to the inner wall of iron and can cause rust to fall off.
Therefore, the phenomenon of yellow and muddy tap water in the homes of some community users has occurred.

According to experts from China Epoxy Network (China Epoxy Industry Online)Beijing’s water sources currently include more than 20 places such as Hebei, Shanxi and local water.

In 2014, river water will enter Beijing.
