Sildenafil's trade name is Viagra, and it was approved by the U.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in March 1998 for the treatment of male erectile dysfunction (ED)

Sildenafil, as a prescription drug, can also be used to treat pulmonary hypertension and mountain sickness
.
It iscontraindicated for patients who have had strokes, heart attacks, hypotension, some rare hereditary eye diseases and retinitis pigmentosa.
This medicine must be used under the guidance of a doctor

The adverse reactions caused by sildenafil include headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion and visual abnormalities; if taken at the same time with nitroglycerin, it will cause a superimposed drop in blood pressure
