On October 28, 2022, the Australian Biosafety Import Conditions (BICON) website published the biosafety conditions and requirements for imported pickled and canned fruits, vegetables and algae products from Australia, which mainly include: (1) no import license required; (2) Pickled fruits, vegetables, algae products must use salt, sugar, vinegar, wine pickling or storage and other seven pickling methods; (3) Canned fruits, vegetables, algae products must meet commercial sterility, and meet the five commercial aseptic packaging types and packaging requirements such as iron cans, glass bottles and sterilization bags; (4) It must be accompanied by a manufacturer's statement, invoice, bill of lading, product composition and processing details, product labels and other documents proving that the goods meet the above processing requirements; (5) It stipulates the measures to be taken for the return and destruction of goods that do not meet the requirements
