Purpose : Behcet's disease (BD) is a systemic inflammatory disease, usually manifested as recurrent oral and genital ulcers, uveitis, skin damage, and even inflammation of the nerve and gastrointestinal system
.
This study explores the susceptibility sites associated with Behcet's disease ( BD ) uveitis
ObjectiveObjective : Behcet's disease (BD) is a systemic inflammatory disease, usually presents with recurrent oral and genital ulcers, uveitis, skin lesions, neurological and gastrointestinal systems and even inflammation
Methods : Researchers from the National Eye Center and a number of Chongqing Medical University / Hospital collaborators conducted a genome-wide association study (GWAS) , including 978 Ming BD uveitis cases and 4388 control subjects and population in China of 953 Ming BD uveitis cases and 2129 controls were carried out replication studies
.
GWAS genotyping uses Illumina Human Omni ZhongHua-8 chip
MethodsMethods : Researchers from the National Eye Center and a number of Chongqing Medical University / Hospital collaborators conducted a genome-wide association study (GWAS) , including 978 Ming BD uveitis cases and 4388 control subjects and population in China in for 953 Ming BD uveitis cases and 2129 controls were carried out replication studies
ResultsResults : In the BD identified genome-wide association uveitis three separate HLA alleles ( HLA-B51 , HLA-A26 and HLA-C0704 )
ConclusionConclusion : The GWAS study identified a new set of genetic variations, these variations with BD -related susceptibility to uveitis
