The current drug treatment methods for patients with osteoarthritis are not ideal.
The study included 70 participants with symptomatic knee arthritis and effusion-synovitis determined by ultrasound, who were randomly assigned to receive 2 CL capsules per day (n = 36) or matching placebo (n = 34).
The results showed that CL improved VAS pain by -9.
In summary, the results of this study show that CL can effectively relieve knee joint pain, but has no effect on knee effusion-synovitis or cartilage formation.
