Recently, the team of Professor Han Ying from the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (Xuanwu Hospital)-China AD Pre-clinical Alliance and the Department of Neurology, Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, published an article entitled "Combination of gut microbiota and plasma" in the international academic journal Alzheimers Research & Therapy.
Studies have found that plasma Aβ may contribute to the early identification of patients with Aβ deposition in the brain
This study provides preliminary evidence for the change of intestinal flora in the preclinical stage of AD, and the combination of plasma Aβ index and intestinal microbial index may be used as a non-invasive, simple and easy-to-promote early AD diagnosis marker, which is an early stage of AD.

Studies have found that plasma Aβ may contribute to the early identification of patients with Aβ deposition in the brain
The results of the study showed that plasma Aβ42 and Aβ42/Aβ40 levels were significantly decreased in the CN+ group compared with the CN- group (p = 0.
In terms of intestinal flora, the relative abundances of Firmicutes and δ-Proteobacteria decreased significantly in CN+ group, while the relative abundance of Bacteroidetes increased significantly (Fig.
Notably, the relative abundance of Firmicutes and the short-chain fatty acid-producing bacteria to which they belong showed a gradual change from CN- to CN+ to CI (Fig.
Furthermore, for all subjects, whole-brain Aβ deposition levels correlated with plasma Aβ42/Aβ40 (r = -0.
Finally, combined plasma Aβ markers, gut microbiota, and cognitive scores showed a relatively high ability to discriminate the CN+ group (AUC = 0.
