com reported: Australian Grain Technologies (AGT), Sipcam and Albaugh, LLC have recently entered into a strategic partnership to bring a real farming innovation to Australian barley growers – the CoAXium production syste.
The partnership was established to bring together key elements of the CoAXium production system, including AGT-owned and developed non-GMO herbicide tolerance traits, superior barley germplasm, Aggressor® branded herbicides and industry stewardshi.
Dr Tristan Coram, Head of Science and Business Development at AGT, said: “AGT is delighted to bring this locally discovered technology to Australian growe.
We are particularly proud that Australian farmers will be the first in the world to use CoAXium Barley growers in barley production syste.
" AGT has been working on barley genetics since 2014 and has recently released commercial varieties Beast, Cyclops, Minotaur and Ye.
The AGT team is actively incorporating the CoAXium trait into genetic breeding studies and expects to deliver the first CoAXium barley variety to growers in 202 "In order to bring this technology to market, we looked for partners who understand the Australian landscape and have experience in delivering new technologies to growers," Dr Coram sa.
This tripartite partnership will ensure growers receive the full benefits of the CoAXium barley production system, while also protecting the technology through industry stewardsh.

Richard Branson, Sipcam Australia Marketing and Operations Manager, said the upcoming CoAXium production system has the potential to change the way barley is grown in Austral.
He said: "This system provides barley growers using non-GMO seeds with a new weed control opti.
CoAXium is not just a herbicide and a herbicide tolerant barley variety, in fact, it is a whole new production system, has a significant impact on the entire planting plan, which is why CoAXium will be fully supported by a management plan developed by Sipc.
This plan will cover all aspects of growing herbicide-tolerant barley, including the use of Agressor herbicide, the impact of rotation, Herbicide tolerance strategies and integrated weed contr.
" Sipcam, a leading supplier of crop protection and nutrition products to Australian farmers, will provide sales and technical support for the Aggressor herbicide and CoAXium production syste.
"We are delighted to be working with Albaugh and AGT," said Brans.
"Ourfirst contact found that all three shared a common business philosophy of using innovation and collaboration to bring real value to farme.
