The Yonhap News Agency quoted a report from the Gangwon-do government in South Korea that an African swine fever epidemic had occurred on a farm ther.

This is the first case of African swine fever this ye.

It is reported that the case was found on a farm in Hongcheon County, Gangwon Province, only 1 km away from where the infected wild boar carcass was found on May 2

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of South Korea has therefore decided to suspend all pig farms, slaughterhouses and feed factories in Gyeonggi and Gangwon provinces for 48 hou.
