Background / Objective: Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA-) correlation vascular inflammation (AAV) and rheumatoid arthritis rarely (RA) reported
Background/Objective: Vascular Rheumatoid Arthritis
Methods: In this retrospective study, a cohort of RA+ANCA positive patients evaluated at an academic center was included
Method: Diagnose
Results: The study included 77 patients with a mean (±SD) age of 60.
result:
25 patients (32%) were diagnosed with AAV; 9 (36%) microscopic polyangiitis (MPA), 8 (32%) granuloma with polyangiitis (GPA), 1 (4%) eosinophilic granuloma With polyangiitis (EGPA), 1 (4%) GPA and rheumatoid vasculitis (peripheral ulcerative keratitis, scleritis, sudden hearing loss, MPO positive)
The diagnosis of RA precedes vasculitis in 92% of cases, occurs simultaneously in 4% of cases, and occurs after vasculitis in 4% of cases
The comparison between RA+AAV patients and RA+ANCA patients without AAV is shown in Table 2
immunity
Conclusion: The AAV in RA includes several cases of eosinophilic granuloma with polyangiitis and microscopic polyangiitis
Conclusion: The diagnosis of RA almost always precedes the diagnosis of AAV.
