Objective: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a typical autoimmune disease with differences in prevalence and severity in different ancestral grou.
Objective: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a typical autoimmune disease with differences in prevalence and severity in different ancestral grou.
Methods: A cross-ancestry and ancestry-specific meta-analysis was performed for Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) of SLE , involving 30,604 participants from Europe, China, or Thailan.
RESULTS: A 1-bp deletion upstream of IFNLR1 IFNLR1 was found to be associated with SLE , and the risk allele was associated with increased IFNLR1 IFNLR1 expressio.
In this study, shared and Asia-specific sites for SLE were identified, and functional annotation provided evidence for increased type III IFN signaling and decreased SLE lysosomal functional involvemen.
