Purpose : Mitochondria exhibit various bacterial characteristics, such as a double-stranded genome with hypomethylated CpG islands, formylated proteins, and cardiolipin-containing membran.
Objective Objective : Mitochondria exhibit various bacterial characteristics, such as a double-stranded genome with hypomethylated CpG islands, formylated proteins, and cardiolipin-containing membran.
Methods : Using shotgun proteomic analysis, the research team identified 1345 proteins, 431 of which were associated with the mitochondrial proteo.
