Introduction: Xinhuanet, Beijing, November 28 - according to the Ministry of agriculture, a highly pathogenic avian influenza epidemic occurred in Shanshan County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Lingling District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province On November 22, 288 poultry died in Shanshan Town, Shanshan County, Xinjiang On November 25, it was preliminarily diagnosed as highly pathogenic avian influenza by Xinjiang veterinary department On November 18, 402 dead poultry were found in group 8, laobutou village, Qilidian office, Lingling District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province On November 25, it was preliminarily diagnosed as highly pathogenic avian influenza by Hunan veterinary department On November 28, the two outbreaks were confirmed as H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza by the National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory The Ministry of agriculture, the people's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the people's Government of Hunan Province have done a good job in dealing with the epidemic situation in accordance with the requirements of relevant emergency plans At present, Xinjiang and Hunan veterinary departments have killed 52162 and 13481 poultry within 3 kilometers around the epidemic area
